Jam, Chicago, IL

Jam Restaurant Review

: At this quaint Ukrainian Village restaurant, the most important meal of the day gets a major overhaul. The spotlight is on breakfast. Fortunately, this place is more than ready for its close-up with inventive dishes like malted custard french toast, an omelet tucked with chorizo and piquillo peppers and, of course, house-made jams. Lunch options include a signature burger with Butterkäse cheese, smoked tomato sauce and a sunny-side egg. The hip factor is high --- clear Lucite chairs, modern flower arrangements --- but so is the comfort level, with a big front window, white-and-gray walls and super-friendly service.
