THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Janos Restaurant Review: For more than 25 years, French-trained chef Janos Wilder has wowed his guests with innovative fare. Wilder was a proponent of using the local bounty long before the term “locavore” was coined. Winter brings lamb from the heart of Mexico, which comes with a mole made with ingredients from NativeSeeds/SEARCH, an organization that saves heritage local foods. During the summer, perhaps the chilled avocado soup with a fresh tomato slice floating in the middle topped with a large portion of lump crab meat will be on the menu. Even a simple fig is transformed into a heavenly nosh under Janos’s expertise. His "Ten Terrific Tastes" menu is a great way to go if you want to explore a variety of different dishes. Desserts may include a Mexican lime tartlette or a warm chocolate truffle soufflé. Located on the grounds of The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa, the elegant but comfortable dining room offers some of the best views of the city lights illuminating the valley below.
