| One of Reston's little treasures, Jasmine Café is the pet project of owner and sometime cook Eduardo Faubert. It has survived the arrival of local mega restaurants, because the restaurant delivers solid American cooking, drop-in neighborliness and a splendid lakeside location. Most nights seem like old-home week at this flashy little place, and friends may stop by just for drinks and dessert. But a full meal is a good choice. Faubert is noted for his many specials, including the hot artichoke dip with pita chips and his cast-iron-seared tenderloin. He handles chocolate anything very well, although his strawberry-rhubarb cobbler is mighty fine, too. |
