Jawaiian Irie Jerk Restaurant Review: Chef Cassie is from Portland, Jamaica, and he had a long career as a chef on his home island and in Miami. At Jawaiian Irie Jerk, he turns out such singularly spiced Jamaican dishes as jerk chicken and pork, and escovitch fish, as well as Caribbean curry chicken. And, of course, you get the requisite rice and peas. Desserts range from Jamaican coconut rum cream pie to Caribbean style bread pudding.
