THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED jaxKitchen Restaurant Review: Sure you’ll find burgers and hot dogs and tacos at jaxKitchen. But we predict you’ve never had those foods prepared in such appealing ways. Chef Ginny Wooters and owner Brian Metzger, along with their crew, have a way with the classics. Deviled eggs, for example, are filled with crab, Louie-style (you’ll want to order another round). The house hot dog is topped with cassoulet and takes a fork and knife to enjoy; and you can count on that burger as well --- it’s made with Kobe beef. The menu changes seasonally, but favorites are often retained by customer demand. The wine list is comprised of smaller vintages and was created for ideal pairings; the cocktail line-up is fun and full of surprises with many of the ingredients, such as infusions and syrups, made in-house. Service is friendly and well-trained.
