THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Jilly's Bistro Restaurant Review:

What a culinary switch, one that would make street magician David Blaine blink in amazement. Not too many moons ago this place was called Jilly’s Singapore Inn. Hey, if Singapore doesn’t work take a trip to Rome. Bistro is part of the name, but in a wierd culinary perversion, the place touts the idea of Italian steakhouse (a unique Chicago thing). But the gimmick behind this adjunct to Jilly’s Bistro/Retro piano bar and nightclub next door is that it replicates food Frank Sinatra loved at the original Jilly’s in New York. The Jilly of the name is Jilly Russo, Ol’ Blue Eyes’ friend and bodyguard who died in a car crash. His picture and many others adorn the walls of the swank supper club, which draws a mix of flashily dressed, well-coifed tourists and locals. Pasta, steak, seafood--you know how it goes. Nothing special, but the hot night Rush Street scene. To read: The bar sees a lot of action.
