Score another for Jimmy Rodriguez, a local impresario who isn’t afraid to bend the rules. His latest venture is not even remotely near to be, but none of that seems to matter once you’re seated in a plush, candlelit corner downtown, nor is the cuisine as Latin as it claims enjoying New York’s good life. Though the wine list is decent, we suggest you start off with a blood orange Cosmopolitan if it’s available. This is very much a Cosmo sort of place. The high-concept menu is equal parts Latin, Pacific Rim and Contemporary Southwestern, and features everything from fancy entrée salads, to shellfish, to savory, hearty meat dishes.
