 While this breezy cottage with its gravel courtyard and blue pod ottomans offers lunch all day and afternoon tea, the undulating ribbon of wood and glass pastry cases beautifully focus attention on the exquisite confections of Kristy Choo, an accomplished pastry chef born in Singapore but with the soul of a French pâtissier. Her eye-popping pastries, from green tea mousse to multi-layered lavender gâteau---not to mention a rainbow of French-style macarons---are top-drawer, but even more impressive are Choo’s chocolates, which rival the products of some fine Parisian chocolatiers. Jewel-like morsels enrobed in dark chocolate, they are filled with eclectic flavored creams: rosemary, mango-basil, Earl Grey, salted caramel and yuzu. The menu's informative tea snippets will guide the novice and intrigue the aficionado.
