Jinja Bar & Bistro Restaurant Review:

Jinja’s pan-Asian fare offers something for everyone, with dishes hailing from Japan, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore. One of the most popular items is the Malay coconut soup; tangy tom yum spiciness is infused into the coconut milk base, and the soup brims with shrimp, udon noodles, carrots and green onions. Entrée salads include the offbeat Asian Caesar with black tiger shrimp, pickled ginger and wonton crisps. For something more substantial, try the sweet and spicy jungle green curry over fragrant steamed jasmine rice, or the hoisin glazed barbecue ribs peppered with sesame seeds and diced scallions. Vegetarians will have no shortage of options, and the kitchen can accommodate those with gluten and other allergies. Be sure to ask for a booth, especially one towards the back, where it tends to be quieter. The vintage Asian posters and low lighting make Jinja a fun date night choice.
