Joe Dough Restaurant Review: From the folks who brought you the popular casual eatery Joe Doe comes Joe Dough, a diminutive sandwich shop in the East Village. After an initial visit, you may want to return to sample everything on the brief menu. An oft-offered special, a crispy pork belly sandwich, is served on a brioche bun and comes with cucumber and a minty sauce. The “Stoner’s Delight” is like classic grilled cheese on steroids: three types of cheese (and optional bacon) between challah bread. The “Conflicted Jew” is also very good with chicken liver and bacon. |
