A menu facelift has transformed this McLean favorite into a must-eat destination, where extreme burgers brighten every meal. Starters include the unique fried olives bowl, crisped olives stuffed with chorizo. If you are watching calories, you may want to stick to any of the hearty main-course salads, but if you stopped at a burger joint, eat a burger. Burger choices range from the classic to the far-out Cubano with Gruyère and spicy ham, the Truffle Love with goat cheese and truffle oil, and the all-time showstopper, the Port Wine Blue Cheese with smoky bacon, caramelized onions and Danish blue cheese. Order a side of crispy fries or sweet potato fries, and if you want something for your sweet tooth, go for a thick, creamy milkshake. Note that Joe’s is now buying its meats from the organic butcher next door.
