Joey B’s on the Hill Restaurant Review: The standard burger is ten ounces. The small pizza is ten inches. The pork steak weighs a pound, not counting the fries and coleslaw on the side. Such generosity is a big draw --- the restaurant fills up for every meal, but tables turn briskly, so don’t let the line in the foyer turn you away. The square pizzas come topped with the local favorite cheese, Provel, as do many salads and sandwiches. It’s an option on the burger, but if you’re going to be non-traditional, opt instead for the cowboy burger, with bacon, deep-fried onion rings, soft cheddar and barbecue sauce. The black and white truffles are a surprisingly fancy dessert offering for a restaurant with this many flat-screen TVs and beers on tap. |
