John G's Restaurant Restaurant Review: This second-generation, family-owned eatery is just a stone’s throw from Lake Worth’s public beach. Popular for more than 25 years, John G’s still draws lines of die-hard faithfuls. How popular? In one five-hour period, the restaurant served 900 breakfasts! Best chance for a shorter wait at breakfast is to arrive early, well before 9 a.m. Determined late risers who tough it out in line, however, are rewarded with a sustenance handout of chocolate-dipped fruit---a nice touch. Spring for cinnamon-nut French toast, made of thick Texas toast and almonds. For lunch, we recommend the succulent fried shrimp. |
