| Carino's is a solid Italian chain restaurant with locations across the U.S. In Oklahoma City, there are two branches where you may want to whet your appetite with Sicilian fire sticks---tomato-basil tortillas rolled with Italian sausage, chicken, bacon, tomatoes, jalapeños and Italian cheeses, sided with spicy marinara sauce and ranch dressing. For a cooler start, go for the stuffed mushrooms filled with spinach, Romano cheese, red onions and garlic, and topped with lemon basil cream sauce, roma tomatoes and basil. Pair either option with one of the signature Italian drinks, like the refreshing Bellini or an Italian soda. The massive portions make it possible to share almost any entrée. Try a toasty meatball panini for lunch or the angel hair pasta for dinner. Carnivores gravitate toward the five-meat Tuscan pasta brimming with marinara meat sauce, Italian sausage, bacon, ham and pepperoni. Carino's is also good for groups---the economical family platter options include baked lasagna or the chicken penne Gorgonzola. Ready for dessert? The mini desserts, enticingly served in stemmed glasses to elevate the enjoyment, are the perfect size after a filling meal; go for the New York cheesecake.
