| A great corner location just off Michigan Avenue keeps this place hopping. It's a diner look that's been cookie-stamped across the country: white plastic walls, mostly counter seating (there are a few booths) with chrome stools, servers wearing soda jerk hats---you know the story. Burgers are boffo: the real thing, juicy, fat and tasty and stacked with lettuce, mayo, tomato, onion and pickle. Fries are way behind the burgers in good taste, but the egg salad sandwich is straight-up delicious. Good thick malts and floats add to the diner/soda fountain appeal. Or how about a cherry coke? Call for other locations. |
