Jollibee Restaurant Review:

Jollibee is a household name in Southeast Asia and has made its way to the U.S. with branches on the West Coast, so Asian fast food lovers in New York were pleased when an outlet opened up in Woodside. Those looking for alternatives to the standard burger and french fries combinations can instead consider items like Spam sandwiches and "Chickenjoy" fried chicken. There are also a number of noodle dishes including a twist on spaghetti Bolognese with sweet tomato sauce, ground beef, hot dogs and cheddar. It’s quite a departure from the traditional ragù, but worth a try. For something completely out of the ordinary, there is the "Palabok Fiesta," a sort of pad thai-meets-mee goreng with bean thread noodles, a pungent shrimp sauce, pork rinds, minced pork, shrimp and smoked fish flakes. Rice dishes range from milkfish and sliced egg to fried rice with spicy pork sausage. Halo halo is quintessentially Filipino and consists of mounds of shaved ice topped with milk, red beans, chickpeas, taro ice cream, custard and Jello cubes. All in all, do not pass up dining at Jollibee if you want a truly unique Filipino fast food experience.
