THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED jordans Restaurant Review: Wherever Michael Jordan goes, a crowd follows. And in a restaurant bearing his last name and offering many of his favorite dishes, patrons may expect to find Air Jordan himself, settled into a banquette with several friends. Not so. What they will find is a menu filled with contemporary American dishes infused with Asian and European influences. We loved the steamed Thai mussels, a well-balanced appetizer pairing the Thai favorites, lemongrass and coconut milk, as enhancements for perfectly plump mussels. We followed that with the fork-tender lamb shank, braised in a rosemary-based sauce. Youll also find the requisite selection of poultry, seafood, and vegetarian fare as backups to the macho steak dishes: a prime Delmonico, a grilled cowboy steak, and a prime, aged NY strip. All thats for dinner; lunches tend to be lighter and more casual, with an emphasis on sandwiches, soups, pastas, and salads. Desserts pack a special wallop, and such headliners as a panna cotta and the lemon tart make indulgence seem necessary. |
