| Named for the matriarch of the Lanza family of Upper West Side restaurateurs, Josephina is an appealing choice near Lincoln Center. It offers many low-fat and otherwise healthful options as well as creative dishes that may not conform to that ideal. The salads are always freshly prepared, including the roasted beets with Gorgonzola, poached pear, walnuts and lemon thyme dressing; and a sautéed herb-crusted goat cheese salad with mesclun, leeks, roasted peppers and grilled sourdough bread. All the pasta dishes are a hit and the poultry is always free-range. There are also good burgers (beef and veggie) and a well-chosen wine list. |
