Joule’s serious yet playful menu is organized by dish size and preparation method to showcase the inventive culinary approach of husband and wife chef/owners Seif Chirchi and Rachel Yang. Their creative menu blends Korean-inspired dishes with classic French techniques. Guests are encouraged to share, which is the best way to explore the exotic flavors and presentations, and it suits the room's arrangement of just a dozen tables and a counter looking into the kitchen. The oft-changing menu has featured roasted apple bisque spiked with red curry and pickled tomatillo along with beef soup seasoned with leeks and daikon, then soothed with a dollop of crème fraîche. The Korean-style barbecue is another winner---short rib steaks sizzle with sweet chili sausage and grilled kimchi. This small storefront restaurant is named after a unit of energy.
