The atmosphere evokes Paris bistro (from an American point of view) and it's not all that well done. However, the food makes up for the lack of atmosphere in more ways than one. Chef Paskewitz flavors ring true.

The JP in question is chef-partner Jason Paskewitz (formerly of One sixtyblue and Wave). Chef Paskewitz mixes it up nicely, and the cuisine style here is hard to define. Steak frites and salade Lyonnaise suggest French. Shrimp baked with feta cheese and tomatoes is definitely Greek. While scallops with mango and butternut squash is very contemporary American. A culinary mish-mosh to be sure, but the kitchen pulls it off without a snag. A few desserts that tickled our sweet tooth include molten-chocolate cake (it just refuses to go away) and a deliciously plump homemade apple pie.
