| The staff at this tapas bar is knowledgeable enough about the food and wine list to give you suggestions on what to sip while you nibble. You could, for instance, try a glass of Edna Valley Sauvignon Blanc with the ahi tartare napoleon. Or maybe you want a rosé from Coppola with the fine Portuguese crab cakes. The Chalone Monterey Pinot Noir goes well with the stuffed dates. And the Ojai Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon nicely matches the bowl of meatballs. You’ll also find spanakopita, crab cakes and several soups on the menu. Tall tables, dark lighting, and dance music on the weekends lend the perfect atmosphere for a date. The long list of martinis can heat things up even more. These drinks are stiff and infused with fresh juices and herbs. The Key lime martini gets a squeeze of Key lime juice, a sprinkle of brown sugar plus Absolut Vanilla vodka and triple-sec. It’s poured into a glass rimmed with graham-cracker crumbs. If you’re adventurous enough to hook yourself up to a hookah, it’s available on the patio. |
