Jumbo Seafood Restaurant Review: After decamping from Chinatown to tony Newton, the owners of this Hong Kong-style seafooder sold the original branch to focus on their sophomore effort. While it’s swankier than the original---it even has a decent bar--- the food is on par. Salt-and-pepper dry-fried shellfish remains king, whole steamed fish its queen---and stir-fried peapod stems get the royal treatment too. Too bad weekend dim sum lacks the chaos that gives the urban experience its tang. |
