THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Juniper Suite Restaurant Review:

Tucked in among the cacophony of delis, Indian eateries, and bodegas on West 56th Street, Juniper Suite has a menu that attempts to reflect contemporary New York: Thai wild boar chops, miso-glazed black cod, pasta with Bolognese sauce, and pine nut-crusted salmon are all top-notch and tasty, and give diners a culinary tour of the world without leaving their seat (which, by the way, is deep and cozy and made of wicker). The waitstaff is friendly and, at times, refreshingly honest, pointing out dishes that are ordinary and amazingly tasty. But they're right: everything they recommend is right on---from the fried olives Niçoise to tequila lime-cured salmon rolls to the chipotle-braised short rib. The space is minimally designed with warm woods. Ask for an upstairs table overlooking the street.
