THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Jus Cafe Restaurant Review:

Arguably, the most appetising of the growing number of juice bars. This had as its consultant, Philip Howard, chef of The Square (see Restaurants), and it means that the food is more interesting than the juices, refreshing as they are. His influence is evident in a delicious lamb, salsa verde and sun-dried tomato sandwich and a pannacotta that could grace a restaurant were it not in a plastic pot. These, plus salads---does anywhere else do Lyonnaise with ham hock and mustard?---and desserts like cherry and cranberry trifle or apricot fool are a significant advance on most lunchtime takeaways. Not immediately apparent is that there’s plenty of seating at chunky arty-crafty chairs and tables in a room upstairs. Also in Covent Garden at 13 New Row, WC2, 020-8870 7346.
