Kafe Leopold + Konditorei Restaurant Review: This European pastry and coffee shop is a hangout for the Sunday crowds who hunger for a genteel brunch, but it also snares those who want an elegant if pricey midday meal or dinner. It entices the breakfast-brunch crowd with its freshly brewed coffees, steamed espressos and European sweets. Just watching the staff serve a Belgian sugar waffle with whipped cream or the rather elegant, puffy croissant, the pain au chocolate or the brioche would convince even a skeptic that this food is worth the money. We also recommend the delicate pea soup and several salads on offer, such as the tuna niçoise or arugula and parsley with dates and walnuts. |
