Kai Market Restaurant Review:

Located at the Sheraton Waikiki, Kai Market is a quick, casual dining option that's also a good value. (The restaurant is open to visitors as well as hotel guests.) The huge, high-ceilinged space overlooks the resort's famous infinity pool as well as Waikiki Beach. Food features seasonal, locally-grown ingredients. In the morning, guests may opt to dine à la carte or buffet-style, which includes a bounty of fruit, pastries, and dishes like scrambled eggs with Hamakua Springs Country Farms tomato salsa and Nalo Farms chives. The dinner buffet menu includes such standards as carved-to-order prime rib and sashimi stations, but may also present a warming bowl of Portuguese bean soup, a Korean cold chap chae noodle salad, or Chinatown roast pork served in bao buns with hoisin sauce. Desserts have ranged from coconut haupia and a slice of all-American apple pie to summer fresh fruit and shave ice.
