Kan Zaman Restaurant Review: Kan Zaman serves authentic Middle Eastern food with a delicate touch. Adding to the appeal, it’s BYOB and there's a distinctly exotic vibe to the room, which is the perfect backdrop for snacking on sautéed fresh mushrooms and rotisserie-cooked chicken shwarma. Come, too, to watch belly dancers shimmy, while slurping soul-warming lentil soup. There are plenty of vegetarian choices --- hummus, falafel --- but the kebabs are the mainstays of the menu. You’ll also find Mediterranean dishes like spinach sautéed with tomatoes, herbs, garlic and feta. Finish off your meal with the baklava and a stiff cup of coffee --- as long as you don’t mind the jolt. |
