At this upscale Astoria restaurant, patrons are treated to authentic Greek food in a warm, vibrant atmosphere. Many regulars start a meal with the charcoal baby octopus, spinach pie or potato croquettes, then settle on such favorites as the moussaka, the lamb stew with potatoes and vegetables or the veal casserole with orzo. For dessert, the baklava usually gets the nod, but the flan also is a good finish. There’s live music at night for much of the week: A pianist plays Tuesday through Thursday, a three-person band Friday and Saturday.
