THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Kensington Place Restaurant Review:

Kensington Place is a London favourite, with chef Daniel Phippard serving the kind of good British cooking that has kept the punters happy. Now owned by D&D London (the old Conran Restaurant Group), the brasserie atmosphere buzzes. Start with a Bellini to give your appetite an edge for the likes of grilled prawns with fennel salad or ox tongue with gremolada. Mains like beer battered haddock and chips, and braised shoulder of lamb with parsley purée, braised celery and mash might not be the most innovative, but it’s all well done. The dinner menu is a good value, offering all the standard dishes. Go for the three courses and treat yourself to the peanut butter surprise. The wine list is in the something-for-everybody mode, with prices to match. Set 2-course dinner £19.50, 3 courses £24.50.
