Khe-Yo Restaurant Review:

This handsome restaurant in TriBeCa is a marriage between chef Marc Forgione and one of his longtime kitchen mates, Laotian-born Soulayphet Schwader. Not familiar with Laotian delights? Think northern Thailand and some of the dishes here will become more familiar. Start with the Jurgielewicz duck salad, a mix of fresh lemon grass and juicy chunks of canard. The crispy pork belly spring roll is tiny but packs a flavorful punch (especially when it’s rolled in the herbs and lettuce that accompany the dish). The bowl of pork curry noodles, bobbing with banana flower in an addictive chili sauce, is worth a try, especially on a cold night. Wash it down with a Beerlao or a glass of wine from the small list, which is primarily French and mostly affordable.
