Kim's Restaurant Review: This family-style Vietnamese restaurant just off the Westbank Expressway pulses as a community center for its many regulars and their extended families on weekend nights. Festooned with Asian-style plaques and artifacts, the big low-ceilinged dining room seems impersonal, but the welcome is warm. The kitchen's hefty roster of dishes includes salt-baked shrimp --- actually marinated and fried --- hot-and-sour soups and simpler noodle dishes (pho). For thirst-quenchers, there is a list of unusual beverages, such as salted lemonade. But imported and domestic beers are available, too. Desserts are inviting, especially the mung beans with jelly and coconut milk. Be patient --- service is mediocre.
