Kin Khao Restaurant Review:

Tucked into an oddly geometric space in the Parc 55 hotel is Kin Khao, where visitors and locals flock for seasonal and fiercely authentic (read: fiery) Thai cuisine from owner Pim Techamuanvivit. The menu is best explored family-style, or opt for the $55 tasting menu which offers an abundance of both food and flavor. Mushroom hor mok terrine is rich and earthy but startlingly light, and paired with delightfully crunchy rice cakes; green curry is made with rabbit leg, saddle and meatballs, while the accompanying sticky rice reaches new levels with a coconut aroma and chewy-tender grains. Ambience in the 75-seater is modern, a bit loud and exuberant; the friendly, familiar service matches the downtown energy. The smart wine list leans heavy on dry and off-dry Austrian and German whites. Knowledgeable staff is happy to recommend pairings for the flavorful and spicy cuisine. A full bar with creative cocktails rounds out the beverage program.
