Kinley’s Restaurant & Bar Restaurant Review: Simplicity and elegance frame Kinley's menu and setting: cool blues color the dining room with its rock-covered wall, while russet wood floors, chairs and bar stools provide warm accents. Start with appetizers such as the bacon-wrapped dates with savory lemon butter accents. Then experience the White Salad with its mélange of parsnips, fennel, rutabaga, cauliflower and artichoke hearts with blue cheese dressing. Daily specials follow the same witty path, and might include coconut-crusted cod paired with a green curry lemon grass sauce, or bratwurst, simmered in pale ale with sauerkraut and red potatoes. Desserts range from trendy concoctions such as a chai-spiced D’Anjou pear fritter with vanilla bean ice cream and a drizzle of honey to a chocolate tart topped with salted cashew ice cream and a sweet cherry chutney. The wine list offers moderately priced selections and there are beers, on tap and bottled, from near and far.
