Kiosco Restaurant Review:

This simple slip of a space skips frills and provides a comfortable setting that includes walls hung with artwork of various themes. Seating is via a trio of table options: high granite-topped for duos; wooden for larger parties; and outdoors on the sidewalk. Sample a variety of appetizers, including the empanadas, here made with a cornmeal crust and stuffed with beef or chicken. A seafood mix (ours with Chilean salmon) in coconut cream offered abundant shell and fin fish. A half roasted chicken, its delectable skin crisp and flavorful, with raspberry sauce and fresh vegetables was a generous portion and enough for another meal. Accompanying it are two sides, a soup and a salad; the chickpea and carrot salad is a must. Get the tres leches cake for dessert. It comes with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle and a maraschino cherry, but enjoy it unadorned, as it’s creamy in texture and addictive. Pair it with the "tinto colombiano," a fine foil. A few good wines, such as Manos Negras, are available; however, we suggest bringing your own for a $10 fee.
