Kitsch'n River North is a retro-informed, contemporary-American hang. Breakfast is big here, and so is brunch. Comfort food reigns, with fried chicken and waffles, homey potpies and meatloaf with port gravy leading the charge. And, yes, you can get a cocktail, too, including a fine mai tai. Grab-and-go items are available, so diners can wrangle sandwiches, salads, muffins and scones on the fly. Note that this space now houses a concept-within-a-concept: a portion of the dining room morphs into The Fifth, a funky lounge for cocktails and later dining.
