THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Kona Jack's Restaurant Review:
Kona Jacks, a cross between Hawaiian and Florida casual, may seem out of place in Downtown Indianapolis until you see the crowds. This place is hot. The fish is fresh and well prepared. The atmosphere is quiet enough to hold a business conversation, yet fun enough to hang out with your friends. Theres even a fish market in the front, in case you want to take some of the fresh catch home. The chef will even toss in a few of his recipes. While the atmosphere is casual, the menu would be just at home in fancier digs. The chefs at Konas know how to prepare fish. Meaty escolar, sword fish, ono and walleye pike are a few of the favorites, as are the pastas, generously dotted with fresh lumps of crab or tender shrimp. Instead of the traditional Key lime pie found at most fish places, here the favorites are lemon or Texas chocolate cake. When the weather cooperates, ask for a table on the covered patio, and enjoy the Downtown action.
