| Inspired by the original Kuleto's in Union Square, this South Bay outpost also boasts high vaulted ceilings, Italian marble floors, warm lighting and a long mahogany bar lined with copper railings and framed by a garland of dried peppers, herbs and garlic braids. For those warm Los Gatos nights, the outdoor courtyard promises just as much happiness as the buttermilk-crusted calamari. Executive chef Daniel Patino oversees the menu which includes such favorites as pizza puttanesca of roasted tomato sauce, black olives, Spanish white anchovies, parsley and Parmesan, and bucatini amatriciana of guanciale (cured pork jowl), onions, roasted tomatoes, chili oil and Pecorino Romano. Try the seared ahi tuna with a porcini mushroom-and-onion sauce, fennel, crispy potatoes, and lemon arugula (the seasonal menu draws heavily from the local bounty). Don't miss the sorbets for dessert. |
