 The charming K’ya Bistro is quite the opposite of its cousin restaurant at the very modern Hotel Ménage in Anaheim. Located inside the historic La Casa del Camino boutique hotel, the restaurant draws in locals with its lively Euro bistro vibe and reasonable price points, and its status as a hot-spot is further elevated by the eclectic cuisine from longtime chef Craig Connole. Breakfast selections offer up a mix of common fare (bagels, muffins, pancakes) and uncommon dishes (smoked salmon, Italian sausage frittata, duck hash scramble). The lunch and tapas-style dinner menu is more globally inspired. We suggest starting with the ahi poke and Thai-inspired fried calamari. Prosciutto and fig flatbread can serve as a lovely intermezzo. The wide range of inexpensive small plates encourages your entourage to indulge in several flavors, from the Cajun-inspired blackened chicken and shrimp etouffée to the braised beef short rib and lobster and mushroom risotto. A stew section of the menu boasts dishes like gumbo, cassoulet, coq au vin and boeuf bourguignon. Most wines are available in four different pour levels and feature selections mostly from Napa Valley.
