The Marino family, which also operates Santa Monica’s upscale Il Grano, have opened a third location of La Bottega Marino on the north side of Little Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills. The menu, similar to those of its sister spots in West L.A. and Larchmont Village, reflects predictable trattoria fare with some interesting twists and turns. Expect starters like minestrone or pasta e fagioli soups, burrata paired with heirloom tomatoes, or chicken liver crostini. Gnocchi with pesto sauce, artichoke ravioli in pink sauce, and branzino with caponata are among reasonably priced entrées enjoyed in this bustling little dining room. Solo diners gravitate to a counter with a courtside view of the kitchen.
