About the restaurant:Chef/restaurateur Thomas Keller (The French Laundry, ad hoc, etc.) has expanded with La Calenda in Yountville.
About the food: Chef de cuisine Kaelin Ulrich Trilling draws inspiration from his native Oaxaca on the menu, which offers tamales, tacos, enchiladas and larger plates such as chicken in stone-ground mole negro. There's a list of more than 30 mezcals and tequilas, plus a specially handcrafted house beer, "El Chefe," made with California corn by Berryessa Brewing Company.
