La Cosecha Bar + Restaurant Restaurant Review: Chef Santos and Carole MacDonal, the husband/wife team behind nearby Il Cortile, have brought the same emphasis on local, fresh ingredients to the invitingly upscale La Cosecha (Spanish for “harvest"). Here, the seasonal dishes are inspired by the cuisines of Spain, South America and Central America. Among favorite dishes are the Honduran beef empanadas, roasted pork medallions in a chile verde sauce, and the trio of braised meats with plantains and potatoes. For dessert, try a light coconut flan or a rich tres leches cake. The restaurant’s fresh, seasonal approach also extends to the cocktail menu, where you might find a blood orange caipirinha or a classic pisco sour with house-made simple syrup. The beer and wine lists feature both local labels and imports.
