La Fromagerie Restaurant Review:

Long known among cheese fans for its range of nicely kept cheeses, Patricia Michelson’s deli has become quite the place to be seen. The café part of the Marylebone shop gets overcrowded at weekends, so expect to queue at all times (no booking). But most think it’s worth it for a seat either at the communal table at the back or for a smaller table that competes with the shelves of produce. While there are daily changing dishes like a salad of lentils with roast fennel, aubergine and roast tomatoes with mint and chilli, a salad of roast pheasant with roast pumpkin, Savoy cabbage, chestnuts and pancetta, or fish pie, most people order the plates of charcuterie or of course the amazing cheeses. Five cheeses come on a plate with useful tasting notes on the menu so you can move from mild to strong, each with five slices of bread and butter. Choose a wine from the carefully selected list and you have a perfect light snack. Breakfasts are also worth getting up early for.
