La Hacienda combines Mexican and Argentinean fare under one roof in the heart of downtown Stamford. Standard Mexican selections range from generously stuffed spinach, onion and tomato quesadillas topped with cheese and served with rice to carnitas and chimichangas. For a taste of Argentinean-infused Mexican fare, try the shrimp seared and seasoned on the grill or the delicately flavored fish. We also like the margaritas. Available, too, is a special dinner that includes a sampling of Mexican cantina favorites: a chalupa with guacamole salad, chile relleno, taco, enchilada and burrito served with rice and refried beans.
