THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS La Macarena Restaurante & Pupuseria Restaurant Review

: This suburban restaurant has brightly painted walls surrounding only five tables. The Galvez family has a keen sense for hospitality, and Manny Galvez, the regular host-manager-server, is a part-time international tour guide and describes every meal as if it's a precious Egyptian artifact. The pupusas are wonderful: pliable pockets of corn dough filled with a salty-ripe mixture of Salvadoran cheeses and-or a paste made from pork cracklin'. Also, try the messy roasted turkey sandwich native to San Salvador, the fried yuca, the black beans and the fresh fruit juices. BYOB.
