La Michoacana #5 Restaurant Review: Place your order at a shiny counter that turns out tacos and plates piled high with the likes of pork rind simmered in chile-charged tomatillo sauce, then pay at this grocery store’s checkout station. The menu changes, but guisados of all kinds are highly recommended, and if available, you must try the tamal served with thickened cream, crumbled queso and a choice (take both) of serious red or green salsas. Then, do a tour of the butcher case for its (often) unfamiliar cuts of carne and the bakeshop for goods with fanciful forms and names. |
