Behind a cozy storefront in an 1875 building, diners are surrounded by warm and cheerful colors, most notably from the handmade Provençal pottery that is also for sale. Salads served in deep glass bowls feature an array of colors and flavors. We've enjoyed the bouillabaisse and the pasta special: ravioli filled with pears, arugula and smoked goat cheese. We sometimes stop at La Note just for a dessert of lavender crème brûlée. Long lines outside attest to the popularity of the weekend brunch, one of Berkeley's favorites. Patio seating is available April through October.
