La Parmigiana Restaurant Review: This family-run Italian restaurant, called La Parm by locals, has been a Southampton staple for more than 40 years. Whether it's to pick up homemade ravioli or tomato sauce to take home from the storefront or for a sit-down meal in the warm and cozy dining room, this is a must for anyone who likes Italian-American cuisine. The menu has all of the standbys covered, from crispy fried calamari to generous portions of pasta. Pizza has its loyal customers and its skeptics; to be sure, go for a veal Parmigiana hero instead: the namesake cutlet is covered in zesty tomato sauce and generous amounts of melted mozzarella. Fans of red sauce joints could spend months trying each of the specialties here, from Alfredo to ziti. Portion sizes mean that dessert may be a challenge, but you can always take the cannoli (or tartufo or tiramisu) to go.
