THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED La Rotisserie des Artistes Restaurant Review:
Stained glass doors grace the entrance to this colorful two-story art deco restaurant that pays homage to France's famed artists and their works. On the eatery's first level is the decoratively tiled open kitchen where the meat, fish and poultry are slow-roasted in the back wall's large rôtisserie ovens. Go for the foie gras sautéed with figs and pears. We like the appetizer combination of duck terrine à l'orange and veal pâté with Armagnac and fresh prunes. Try the petite marmite, a soup of lobster, scallops, sea bass and mussels simmered in a fish broth, sealed with a puff pastry crust. Herb-rubbed free-range chicken is flame-roasted on the rôtisserie. Splurge on the tart of fresh banana and chocolate with rum raisin sauce and vanilla bean ice cream.
