La Sirena Grill Restaurant Review

: Situated at the rear of The Edge at Plaza El Segundo mall, this restaurant can be somewhat tricky to find. La Sirena specializes in traditional preparations of classic dishes, but it utilizes ingredients not typically found in Mexican cuisine, such as barbecue duck, pumpkin and wild mushrooms. Rock shrimp and scallop ceviche is a refreshing starter, bright with the flavors of lime and avocado; the quesadilla is stuffed with porcini mushrooms and truffle, and topped with a biting arugula salad to cut through the richness of the cheese. Combination platters of enchiladas, tacos, burritos and fajitas are available, though the entrée specialties are the way to go. A braised pork chile verde with Brussels sprouts is infused with a subtle spiciness and served with homemade tortillas, while the succulent steamed white sea bass is topped with a tart pineapple salsa. Pair your meal with a signature margarita and finish with the thick chocolate pudding spiked with cinnamon.
