| This unlikely basement off Marylebone High Street is surprisingly spacious with exposed brickwork and minimal decoration giving it something of a Tuscan feel. Pizzas are the items to order, with unusual toppings like beet root, seafood and, on one occasion, palm hearts. Pasta, too, is excellent. There are old stalwarts like calf's liver, here rendered perfectly pink and juicy with a lightly dressed rocket salad; and cod, perfectly roasted in the wood-fired oven and served with unusually spiced lentils. The mostly Italian wine list is short and to the point. |
